House bill has a government-run insurance program in it, and so does the compromise the blue dogs agreed to on July 29, so when you say that it has already been "removed from the bill," that sounds like something of an exaggeration. Right now, the only actual bill that exists is the House bill.

Otherwise, I agree with your assessment. In my state, big pharm is running an intense TV campaign in favor of the plan. That, in my opinion, is a very bad sign, as far as who is going to profit from it, and at whose expense.Lester Hunthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14746157071827337723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22657443.post-26924851199079549902009-08-11T15:43:08.424-05:002009-08-11T15:43:08.424-05:00The pubic option was already removed from the bill...The pubic option was already removed from the bill in committe chaired by Max "Monybags" Baucus. If the plan ever ges to Obama's desk, it will be a watered down nothing that will undoubtedly have provisions to funnel more money into the pockets of the health insurancec companies. That's the purpose of requirng everyone to have health insurance, i.e, join a HMO.

Whenever Congress passes a bill with "Reform" in it's title, it guarantees another transfer of wealth upward.Peter L.
